Auke Kok

Auke Kok liep in 1983 als doctorandus maatschappijgeschiedenis (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam) stage bij het opinieweekblad Haagse Post.Hij werd daar schrijvend redacteur, vervolgens lid van de eerste redactie van het zakenblad Quote en keerde in 1989 terug naar de Haagse Post om daar een sectie economie op te zetten.

Een jaar later werd Kok chef economie bij het fusieblad HP/De Tijd en in 1995 adjunct-hoofdredacteur en hoofdredacteur a.i. In 2000 stapte hij als redactiechef over naar NOS Radio 1 Journaal. In 2004 vestigde Kok zich als zelfstandig journalist en boekenschrijver.Hij is getrouwd met Dido Michielsen en vader van twee dochters.

Rob de Wijk is the founder of The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) and Professor of International Relations and Security at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University.

He studied Contemporary History and International Relations at Groningen University, and wrote his PhD dissertation on NATO’s ‘Flexibility in Response’ strategy at the Political Science Department of Leiden University.

Herman Koch

Herman Koch (1953) is known as a television producer and a writer. The book 'Het diner', published in 2009, was his breakthrough in the Netherlands. It was published in 17 countries. It was partly based on a true story involving a homeless woman named, María del Rosario Endrinal Petit, in Barcelona (Spain), in December 2005.

Koch was born in Arnhem, and later moved to Amsterdam. He studied Russian for some months, and lived in Finland for a while. Nowadays he is married to the Spanish Amalia, and has a son, Pablo (1994).

Maartje Wortel

Maartje Wortel (1982) volgde de opleiding Beeld & Taal aan de Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. In 2007 won ze de Write Now!-wedstrijd voor literair talent.
