When not writing, Courtney figure skates, climbs mountains, squeezes through desert slot canyons, and skis way too fast through trees. To support her adrenaline-fueled hobbies and writing habit, she received a degree in electrical engineering from Caltech and works in the aerospace industry. After many years living and working in Colorado, she moved with her husband and son to Lake Hawea, New Zealand.
