Mats Jonsson

Mats Jonsson is a Swedish comic creator. Debuting as a teenager in the Swedish fanzine society, Jonsson later became one of the prime Swedish representants for the autobiographical comic genre, inspired by American and Canadian comic creators such as Harvey Pekar, Seth, and Joe Matt.

Mats Jonsson has been published in several Swedish newspapers and magazines. Many of his works have been collected in albums.

Maria Sveland

Maria Sveland (born 1974) is an author and journalist from Sweden, best known for the 2007 book Bitterfittan (a title which is a Swedish compound noun, and could be translated either as The Bittercunt or The Bitter Cunt, or, less literally, The Bitterbitch or The Bitter Bitch).

Bitterfittan is, according to Sveland, not an autobiography but rather a work inspired by her own experiences. The book criticizes the institutionalized nuclear family from a feminist perspective, pointing out issues such as women's unpaid domestic labor, sexual violence, and the disproportional male/female use of parental leave.

Glenn Head is an American cartoonist and comic book editor, based in New York City.

Jillian Tamaki

Jillian Tamaki is a cartoonist and illustrator living in Toronto. A professional artist since 2003, she has worked for publications around the world and taught extensively in New York at the undergraduate and graduate level. She is the co-creator, with her cousin Mariko Tamaki, of Skim and This One Summer, the latter of which won a Caldecott Honor in 2015. Jesse Jacobs

Jesse Jacobs is a Canadian cartoonist and illustrator based in London, Ontario.
Jacobs was born in Moncton, New Brunswick. Early in his career, he worked in animation, notably on the Cartoon Network show Adventure Time. He has also experience as a game developer, although his main arena remains comics.
Jacobs is known for his psychedelic and geometrical style of cartooning. A number of his short comics have been featured in various editions of Fantagraphics annual anthology Best American Comics from 2012 to 2018. Strömquist was born in Lund and grew up in Ravlunda in the Österlen region of south Sweden. Today she lives in Malmö. Miguel Vila is an Italian cartoonist, born in Padova in 1993. His first book Padovaland (2020, Canicola) won the Cecchetto prize for Breakthrough Artist (“Artista rivelazione”) at the Treviso Comic Book Festival and the Gran Guinigi Award for Best New Artist (“Miglior esordiente”) at Lucca Comics.
