  Herbjørg Wassmo (born Vesterålen, December 6, 1942) is a Norwegian author. She worked as a teacher in northern Norway until her debut as an author. Her debut work was a collection of poems, "Vingeslag" ("Beating of Wings"). Her major breakthrough was her first novel, "Huset med den blinde glassveranda" ("The House with the Blind Glass Porch") in 1981.
  Her best known book is Dinas bok (Dina's Book) from 1989. This novel was made into a film with the title "I Am Dina" in 2002, starring Maria Bonnevie and Gérard Depardieu.

  Jens Bjørneboe

  Jens Ingvald Bjørneboe was a Norwegian writer whose work spanned a number of literary formats. He was also a painter and a waldorf school teacher. Bjørneboe was a harsh and eloquent critic of Norwegian society and Western civilization on the whole. He led a turbulent life and his uncompromising humanity would cost him both an obscenity conviction as well as long periods of heavy drinking and bouts of depression, which in the end led to his suicide.

  Niels Fredrik Dahl er en norsk forfatter og dramatiker.

  Torborg Nedreaas

  Torborg Nedreaas (1906-1987) er en av 1900-tallets fremste norske forfattere, kjent for sitt samfunnsengasjement og sin sikre stil. Hun debuterte med novellesamlingen Bak skapet står øksen i 1945.
