Young Block
Young Block is a twelve-year-old writer who lives in Brooklyn, NY. He wrote his first book over the course of the summer break between fifth and sixth grades, and his second during his first semester of middle school. His father helps, but not too much. It’s still his work.
When he’s not writing, he practices karate, and he reads. He reads a lot. Like, all the time. And when he’s not doing any of those things, he’s making snarky comments (which, honestly, would have been the first thing he mentioned if his father hadn’t edited this bio).

I think Minecraft is the greatest game in the history of the world, and so did my two children who literally begged me to write Minecraft stories for them when they were young. That is why I have dedicated my life to writing Minecraft-inspired books to share with everyone!

We live on a little bit of land that we’re slowly turning into a farm. We like having lots of space outside to run and play and we’re excited to fill it with some animals. Yay for goats!
Everyone in our family loves reading—well, the baby loves chewing on books—so we thought, why not write our own stories? It’s super fun creating worlds and characters and adventures and even more fun when we know other people are enjoying them. Plus, it’s extra special when our kids get to help.
