Walter Lure
Walter C. Luhr Jr. (a.k.a. Walter Lure) was an American musician; a guitarist and singer. He was best known as a member of The Heartbreakers, a group which originally consisted of Johnny Thunders (guitar/vocals), Lure (guitar/vocals), Richard Hell (bass/vocals) and Jerry Nolan (drums). Billy Rath (bass) replaced original bassist Hell prior to the recording of the group's only LP, 'L.A.M.F. ', which was released in 1977.
Although Walter Lure eventually left the music business as a full-time occupation and worked for many years as a stockbroker, he continued to play gigs and release new music until the end of his life with his band The Waldos.
