Born in Mumbai and raised near Delhi, Arnav Bhardwaj was fascinated by historical legends and mysteries as a regular visitor to the various historical monuments in India. As an undergraduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, he is also passionate about the wide possibilities offered by science and technology. Growing up, he often noticed a strong rivalry between the sciences and the arts but felt that there was a lot of potential by combining the two. His love for detective mysteries, science fiction and historical legends is reflected in his debut novel - The Bird That Ruled Bombay.
I live in Cardiff, Wales, home to castles, mountains, rugby, Doctor Who and Torchwood, with my partner and three little mad dogs and I used to work for a well-known TV broadcasting company. I love living in Cardiff because, for all its modernisation, there are still remnants of an old Victorian city. I love writing and will always base my stories in Cardiff because it has such character. When I can, I go out to the coast and take photographs, we have a lovely castle in the city centre and a fairytale one just on the outskirts, so when I feel I can’t write anything, I take a ramble to those locations and it clears my head.

Heather Hester is the founder of Chrysalis Mama which provides support and education to parents and allies of LGBTQIA adolescents, teenagers, and young adults. She is also the creator/host of the Top 1% podcast Just Breathe: Parenting your LGBTQ Teen. As an advocate and coach, she believes the coming out process is equal parts beautiful and messy. She works with her clients to let go of fear and feelings of isolation so that they can reconnect with themselves and their children with awareness and compassion. Heather also works within organizations via specialized programming to bring education and empowerment with a human touch.
