Vidas Morkūnas – prozininkas, poetas, vertėjas.
Gimė 1962 07 11 Naujojoje Akmenėje.
1980 m. baigė Naujosios Akmenės 3-ąją vidurinę mokyklą (dabar – Ramučių gimnazija). Studijavo tuometės Valstybinės Konservatorijos Klaipėdos Teatro meno fakultete. 1992 m. Muzikos akademijoje baigė Aukštuosius kino scenaristų kursus (vadovas – S. Šaltenis). Gyvena Vilniuje. Laisvai samdomas vertėjas.
Lietuvos rašytojų sąjungos narys – nuo 2004 m.

Gimė 1959 m. Kaune. Mokėsi Kauno 13-ojoje vidurinėje mokykloje, vėliau studijavo lietuvių kalbą ir literatūrą Vilniaus universitete. 1987 m. pasirodė pirmoji jos knyga „Išėjusi šviesa“. Vėliau rašytoja kuriam laikui iš literatūrinio gyvenimo pasitraukė.
