Alix Garin

Alix Garin was born in 1997 in Belgium. Her future career as a graphic novelist emerged very early on, and she plunged straight into comics art studies after high school. In 2017, she won the Young Talent prize at the Quai des Bulles festival in Saint Malo. In 2018, fresh out of her studies, she moved to Brussels and was hired by the Cartoonbase agency. At the same time, she began writing Ne M'oublie pas (Forget Me Not), a highly personal story published by Le Lombard in 2021 (published in English by Europe Comics, 2021).

James Tynion IV

Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March. Georges Prosper Remi (22 May 1907 – 3 March 1983), better known by the pen name Hergé, was a Belgian comics writer and artist.

Daisuke Igarashi (五十嵐大介, Igarashi Daisuke) is a Japanese cartoonist, acclaimed for his refined art style and philosophical themes. His manga often use sci-fi or magical elements to touch on the relation between mankind and nature.
Igarashi began his professional career in 1993 on the pages of the magazine 'Monthly Afternoon'. Therein, he published the stories composing Hanashippanashi (1993-1996), a few other shorts collected in the volume Sora Tobi Tamashii (2002), as well as his first minor success, the series Little Forest (2003-2005).

Aude Picault

Aude Picault is a French cartoonist and picture books author.
Picault was born in 1979. She graduated from the 'École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs', a renowned art university in Paris, in 2005.
Picault started her comics career when in university with the slice-of-life Moi Je (2004). From 2006 to 2009 she collaborated as a cartoonist with the weekly French magazine Voici, while also working as a children's books writer and illustrator. During the same period, she was part of the web-comics collective Chicou-Chicou.
Among her graphic novels are Papa (2006), Les Mélo Maniaks (2008), Transat (2009), the erotic Comtesse (2010), the travel comic diary Parenthèse Patagone (2015), Idéal Standard (2017) and Amalia (2022).

Chester Brown

Chester Brown is a Canadian cartoonist.
Brown was born in Montreal in 1960 and grew up in the nearby suburb of Chateauguay.
At 19, Brown moved to Toronto, where he found a day job while practicing cartooning in his free time. In 1983, he began to self-publish his work in photocopied mini-comics under the title Yummy Fur. These pamphlets attracted some attention in the industry, and in 1986 the Toronto-based comic book publisher Vortex Comics approached Brown. The first Vortex issue of Yummy Fur sold well, so Brown quit his day job to become a full-time cartoonist.
In the pages of Yummy Fur, Brown serialized the story Ed the Happy Clown, which was published as a graphic novel in 1989 and went on to win several awards.

Virginie Despentes

Virginie Despentes is a French writer, novelist and filmmaker, born in Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle. Her most famous novel, and film of the same name is Baise-moi, a contemporary example of the exploitation films genre known as rape and revenge films. David B.

Pierre-François Beauchard, who uses the pen name David B., was one of the initiators of the French alternative editorial house L'Association, and is now well-known among the French comics audience. After his Applied Arts studies, David B. had his first publications in magazines such as Chic, Circus, Okapi and A Suivre. Among his early creations are 'Le Timbre Maudit', a story published in Okapi, and 'the mini-series 'Zèbre' in Chic.
