Stephen Shaiken

I was born and raised in New York City. I spent over three decades as a criminal defense lawyer in San Francisco. Before I became a lawyer, I earned an MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. These days I split my time between Bangkok, Thailand, and Tampa, Florida.

I write short stories in several genres ,some of which can be read on my blog, http://www.stephenshaiken.com/ , listed below.

I have written three novels in the NJA Series, featuring American expat lawyer Glenn Murray Cohen: Bangkok Shadows, Bangkok Whispers, and Bangkok Blues, all available on Amazon as an E book or in paperback. I describe the novels as "exotic noir thrillers." A fourth book in the series will be released early next year.

Mark Dawson

Mark Dawson was born in Lowestoft and grew up in Manchester and Chicago. He has worked as a lawyer and currently works in the London film industry. His first books, "The Art of Falling Apart" and "Subpoena Colada" have been published in multiple languages.

He is currently writing two series. Soho Noir is set in the West End of London between 1940 and 1970. Zach J Brodsky spent much of his youth traipsing around the world where he was fascinated by observing people and creating absurd back stories in his mind about their lives and with it he created an endless list of characters. He roamed around East and Southern Africa in the early 1990s sneaking into what was Zaire to spend some time with mountain gorillas, and later travelled extensively in India, Nepal, South East Asia and the West Coast of the USA. Zach experimented with traditional employment for many years before deciding to base himself in Bangkok where he began to observe all the oddities that Bangkok has to offer.
