Stephan Louwes

Stephan Louwes (Leuven, 1993) studeerde Toegepaste Beeldende Kunsten aan de Wijnpers te Leuven, en Beeldverhaal & Illustratie aan LUCA School of Arts te Brussel. In 2018 voltooide hij zijn master Graphic Storytelling. Zijn masterproef ‘LIMBO’ werd zijn debuut bij Oogachtend in 2019.

Stephan is al enkele jaren frivool actief op social media onder zijn artiestennaam Slartz. Zijn favoriete tekenonderwerpen zijn wilde natuurdecors en onfatsoenlijke deerns.

Naast tekenen bespeelt hij ook nog verschillende muziekinstrumenten.

Charles Burns

Charles Burns is an American cartoonist and illustrator.
Burns grew up in Seattle in the 1970s. His comic book work rose to prominence in Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly magazine 'RAW' in the mid-1980s. Nowadays, Burns is best known for the horror/coming of age graphic novel Black Hole, originally serialised in twelve issues between 1995 and 2004. The story was eventually collected in one volume by Pantheon Books and received Eisner, Harvey, and Ignatz awards in 2005. His following works X'ed Out (2010), The Hive (2012), Sugar Skull (2014), Last Look (2016) and Last Cut (2024) have also been published by Pantheon Books, although the latter was first released in France as a series of three French comic albums.

Joseph Weismann

Joseph Weismann is one of the surviving children that were deported from the camp of Beaune-la-Rolande to Auschwitz after the Vel d'Hiv roundup.

His sisters Charlotte (13 in 1942) and Rachel (7 in 1942), as well as his parents, were deported to Auschwitz and murdered.

In 1996, Simone Veil convinced him to write his memoirs.

He received the Escapees' Medal in 1972.

James Tynion IV

Prior to his first professional work, Tynion was a student of Scott Snyder's at Sarah Lawrence College. A few years later, he worked as for Vertigo as Fables editor Shelly Bond's intern. In late 2011, with DC deciding to give Batman (written by Snyder) a back up feature, Tynion was brought in by request of Snyder to script the back ups he had plotted. Tynion would later do the same with the Batman Annual #1, which was also co-plotted by Snyder. Beginning in September 2012, with DC's 0 issue month for the New 52, Tynion will be writing Talon, with art by Guillem March.
