Sinem Özen Canbolat Anne-baba eğitimleri ile 2004 yılında AÇEV’in (Anne Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı) “Anne Destek Programı” ile tanışmıştır. Ardından Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Psikoloji Bölümü’ne özel öğrenci olarak girmiş ve 2010 yılında Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Gelişim Psikolojisi Yüksek Lisans programından mezun olmuştur. Tez çalışmasını “ebeveyn-çocuk arasındaki bağlanma çeşitleri” ile “yetişkinlikte hatırlanan çocukluk anıları” arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırdığı “Çocukluk Amnezisi ve Bağlanma Stilleri” konusunda yapmıştır.
Akademik eğitiminin yanı sıra, konusunda uzman psikologlardan bebek ve çocukların gelişimlerini izlemek ve gelişimsel farklılığı olan çocukların problemlerini tespit ederek sorunlarını gidermek üzerine çeşitli eğitimler almıştır.
