Reuven Fenton has been covering murder and scandal for the New York Post since 2007, and has earned national recognition for his exclusive reporting on a myriad of national stories. Mr. Fenton was inspired to write "Stolen Years" after covering an unforgettable court hearing in 2013, in which a Brooklyn judge freed David Ranta, who had been wrongfully convicted for murdering a rabbi twenty-two years earlier. The sensational story sparked an investigation into misconduct by both the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office and the lead detective in the case. As a child, Anesa Miller resisted schooling and had to be pushed to keep up with her classmates. On a car trip across the Great Plains, her mother threatened that there would be no lunch until Anesa read several pages aloud from A Is for Annabelle. Under pressure, the seven-year-old buckled down, focused on the page, and gained a sudden insight into the link between letters, sound, and meaning. A passion for reading and love of literature were born.

She owns more than 100 hats, not all of them work related. After the obligatory waitressing during college, she squandered a few years behind the bar at various dives in lower Manhattan. She also owned and operated a pub in northern California. Be careful what you write about.
