Shawn McCarthy
I'm the author of eight books. Two non-fiction, (for John Wiley & Sons and the National Society of Professional Engineers) and six historical fiction/novels (for Dark Spark Press).
My historical novels are a six-book series, "The Puzzle Box Chronicles." Set in the late 1800s, it focuses on an important time of transition in America, when electric lighting is spreading across the country like a wave.
Its locations range from private luxury train cars to seedy back alleys. Even the sparks created by that time period's "War of the Currents" can't fully illuminate the darkest parts of that history.
Book 1 Can be found in Kindle Unlimited: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...

Writing came into her life in her teens by way of therapy and the exploration of healing through journaling. Her writing is motivated by her experiences with childhood trauma, love, loss, healing, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Her words take many on a roller coaster of downfalls and rediscovery.
A private person by nature, she prefers to let her work speak for itself, in the way poetry allows her to. She hopes to inspire others and reinforce the fact that you are not alone.
