Selçuk Baran

Selçuk Baran (Ankara, 7 Mart 1933 – 4 Kasım 1999) Ankara Kız Lisesi’ni ve Ankara Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi’ni üstün derecelerle bitirdi. Aynı fakültenin Banka ve Ticaret Hukuku Enstitüsü’nde kurs müdürlüğü yaptı (1958-68). 1995’ten sonra bu enstitünün yayın müdürüydü. 1987-93 yıllarında TRT İstanbul Radyosu’nda radyo oyunları yazdı. “Türkân Hanım” adlı oyunu Devlet Tiyatrosu’nda sahnelendi. İlk öyküsü (Çocuğun Biri) 1968’de Yeditepe dergisinde çıktı. Yalnızlık ve umutsuzlukla örülü öykülerinde düşsel, şiirli bir hava yarattı. Jun'ichirō Tanizaki (谷崎潤一郎) was a Japanese author, and one of the major writers of modern Japanese literature, perhaps the most popular Japanese novelist after Natsume Sōseki.

Wilhelm Genazino

Wilhelm Genazino was a German journalist and author.

In the 1960s, he studied German, philosophy and sociology at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. He worked as a journalist until 1965. During this time, he worked, inter alia, for the satirical magazine Pardon and co-edited the magazine Lesezeichen. Since 1970 he has been working as a freelance author. In 1977 he achieved a breakthrough as a serious writer with his trilogy "Abschaffel". In 1990 he became a member of the Academy for Language and Poetry in Darmstadt. After living in Heidelberg for a long time, Genazino moved to Frankfurt in 2004. That same year he was awarded the Georg Büchner Prize, the most prestigious award for German literature.

Ágota Kristóf

Ágota Kristóf was a Hungarian writer, who lived in Switzerland and wrote in French. Kristof received the European prize for French literature for The Notebook (1986). She won the 2001 Gottfried Keller Award in Switzerland and the Austrian State Prize for European Literature in 2008.

Kristof's first steps as a writer were in the realm of poetry and theater (John et Joe, Un rat qui passe), which is a facet of her works that did not have as great an impact as her trilogy. Vigdis Hjorth

Vigdis Hjorth (born 1959) is a Norwegian novelist. She grew up in Oslo, and has studied philosophy, literature and political science.

In 1983, she published her first novel, the children's book "Pelle-Ragnar i den gule gården" for which she received Norsk kulturråd's debut award. Her first book for an adult audience was "Drama med Hilde" (1987). "Om bare" from 2001 is considered her most important novel, and a roman à clef.

Hjorth has three children and lives in Asker.

Writer and translator (b. 22 May 1895, İstanbul – d. 18 January 1960). After he finished Beşiktaş Secondary School, he studied at Galatasaray High School but discontinued his education.

He graduated from the Sun Education High School. He studied at Law School for some time (1913) and then educated himself.

He lived abroad for eight years in Tiflis, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Rome and Copenhagen (1915-28). He worked as a translator at the Ministry of National Education.

Édouard Louis is a French writer born October 30, 1992. Édouard Louis, born Eddy Bellegueule, grew up in Hallencourt (Somme) before entering theater class at the Lycée Madeleine Michelis in Amiens.
