Samuel Vriezen
Samuel Vriezen (1973) is dichter, componist en pianist. Hij brak een studie wiskunde
voortijdig af om van 1994-2000 aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag te gaan
studeren. Gedichten van zijn hand verschenen onder meer in Parmentier, Yang en DWB.

Hij werkte samen met tal van ensembles uit binnen- en buiten-land; het meest recent met het Quatuor Bozzini uit Montréal, die deze maand zijn omvangrijke strijkkwartet An Opening ten doop hielden in Düsseldorf. Als pianist treedt Vriezen op met eigen werk, en heeft hij ook internationaal getourd met zijn unieke, virtuoze interpretatie van Tom Johnson’s conceptuele cultklassieker, “The Chord Catalogue”.
