Robert Clifford

Dr Robert Clifford, is no stranger to the ups and downs of medical life, being a retired GP himself. He has written scores of books, including his bestselling series of doctor anecdotes, which were serialised in The Sunday Express and Family Circle.

Dr Clifford has also been a regular guest on radio programmes, including BBC Radio 4's Today and Start the Week, and on the Gloria Hunniford programme, and for Radio Devon's Judi Spiers. He has appeared on television in the UK and US, and was the resident doctor for Westward Diary, on Westward Television in the 1960s and 70s. Among his many positions in writing organisations, he is the vice-president of The West Country Writers' Association.
