Robert Kuhn
About the Author
Robert Kuhn served in the U.S. Army as an infantry soldier from 1970-1972. Forty years after his tour of duty in Vietnam, Robert wrote his memoir Rucksack Grunt. And then ten years after writing the book, he finally published it in 2021.
As a disabled veteran himself, he is a life member of Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He is also a Veterans Administration (VA) volunteer driver when health conditions permit. Over the years, Robert has battled some service-connected issues and ailments, at least one of which the VA attributes to agent orange exposure while serving in Vietnam.

Lanny H. Starr lives in a warm pocket of the Pacific Northwest where he and his lovely wife raised a family of four. After retirement, he spent his free time writing down personal experiences from a tour served in the U.S.Army in Vietnam. Robert L. Tonsetic
Robert L. (Bob) Tonsetic, PhD, was born in Pennsylvania. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he entered the Army as an infantry lieutenant. During the Vietnam War, he served as a light infantry company commander and as an advisor to Vietnamese Ranger and Airborne units. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Silver Star for extraordinary heroism during the 1968 Tet and May offensives. He retired from the army at the rank of colonel. After completing his doctorate in 1996, he taught at the graduate level at the University of Central Florida. He died in April 2016 in his home in Easton, Maryland.

Arthur Wiknik Jr.
Arthur Wiknik, Jr. served in Vietnam with Company A 2/506th of the 101st Airborne Division as an infantry squad leader from April 1969 to March 1970. He was one of the first in his unit to safely reach the top of Hamburger Hill during the final assault. A few months later, he prevented a possible attack on a remote firebase by discovering a nearby enemy weapons cache.

Proud of his military service, Arthur gives talks at schools, colleges and civic organizations about his Vietnam experiences.
