Ray Locker

I'm an author and journalist in Washington. I'm a consultant for the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation, which commemorates the Japanese American incarceration during World War II. My second book, Haig's Coup: How Richard Nixon's Closest Aide Forced him from Office, will be published by Potomac Books on May 1. Previously, I was the Washington enterprise editor for USA TODAY, which meant I oversaw a lot of the investigative journalism from our Washington bureau. I also worked with our reporters who cover the White House, military, money in politics and Washington-based investigations. Before arriving in Washington in 2005, I worked with the Associated Press in Sacramento, Calif., the Los Angeles Times, Tampa Tribune and Montgomery Advertiser
