Peter Young

Brigadier Peter Young, DSO, MC & 2 bars was a British soldier & WWII veteran. He served with the Commandos during that war, ultimately commanding a Brigade. After the war, he commanded a regiment on secondment to the Jordanian Arab Legion. After his retirement from the army, he became a lecturer at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and eventually also a well-respected author of books on Military History, particularly with reference to the Second World War, the English Civil War & the Napoleonic Wars.

Charles B. MacDonald

Charles B. MacDonald was a former Deputy Chief Historian for the United States Army. He wrote several of the Army's official histories of World War II.

After graduating from Presbyterian College, MacDonald was commissioned as a US Army officer through the Army ROTC and deployed to Europe. By September 1944, as a 21 year old Captain , he commanded a rifle company in the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. MacDonald received the Silver Star and the Purple Heart.

His first book, ''Company Commander'', was published in 1947, while his wartime experiences were fresh in his mind.

Peter Young

Peter Young is the author of two books, The Blue Team, a novel which was originally released in 2016, and Stop The Tall Man, Save The Tiger, a memoir published in 2023.

Peter played college basketball at George Washington University and loosely based The Blue Team on his experiences playing for the Colonials. After his playing career ended, Peter briefly coached basketball before embarking on a career as a sports broadcaster. Working for ESPN, CBS, OLN, and other networks, Peter traveled the world covering everything from college basketball and football in the US, to rodeos in Canada and adventure racing in Morocco.
