Pavonis Giron

Pavonis Giron approaches art with a love of bold colors and a taste for exploration, whether that be in the great outdoors or between city blocks. Their debut picture book, A Rainbow in Brown, was acquired by Holt/Macmillan in a three-book deal. Currently based in Milwaukee, Pavonis grew up amongst the sun-bleached rocks of the Mojave Desert which still inspire their work today. In addition to writing and illustrating books for children, Pavonis has also worked in product and game design and holds a BFA in Sculpture & Metalsmithing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
