Paige Brooks
Hi, I’m Paige Brooks—and I write psychological thrillers that dig deep into memory, fear, and the secrets we bury.
Thrillers have always been my favorite kind of story—the kind that leave you unsettled, second-guessing reality, and flipping pages late into the night. The Cage Within is the first in a growing collection of twisty, emotionally layered suspense stories that I can’t wait to share with readers who love that slow-burn tension and eerie atmosphere.
I’ve been married to my husband for over 30 years, and we have one incredible son and two slightly spoiled dogs. We recently moved from the West Coast to the East Coast—a change that definitely inspired the quiet unease and creeping tension in my writing.

Jana Deleon
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jana DeLeon was raised in southwest Louisiana among the bayous and gators. Her hometown is Carlyss, but you probably won't find it on a map. Her family owned a camp located on a bayou just off the Gulf of Mexico that you could only get there by boat. The most important feature was the rope hammock hanging in the shade on a huge deck that stretched out over the water where Jana spent many hours reading books.

Jana and her brother spent thousands of hours combing the bayous in a flat-bottom aluminum boat, studying the natural habitat of many birds, nutria and alligators. She would like you to know that no animals were injured during these "studies," but they kept makers of peroxide in business.

In any genre, her goal is to sweep the reader into her world, keeping it grounded enough in reality that the reader doesn’t question a moment of the action.
This is what she loves helping other authors with, as she has discovered that she enjoys reading books in the early stages even more than published ones and helping writers to spin their stories into something riveting as a developmental editor. If she’s not writing, she’s likely o -
Maria Frankland
Maria Frankland has a dubious internet search history and a very worried mother-in-law. However, neither of these things can stop her writing gripping psychological thrillers in which you’ll never find a happy-ever-after.

Michelle Powers
Michelle Powers writes the kind of thrillers that keep you up way past bedtime—just one more chapter, right? What started with her breakout novella, The First Murder, quickly snowballed into a full-blown obsession with killers, clues, and crime scenes (the fictional kind, of course). She’s the internationally recognized indie author behind the addictive Detective Willoughby series, the fan-favorite Detective Kate Brown series, and a growing stack of standalone thrillers that will make you second-guess everyone you know. In 2024, she proudly earned the coveted KDP All-Star title—a gold star for authors who live on coffee, plot twists, and sheer grit. When she’s not working her day job in logistics or plotting her next murder (on paper, we sw

I write folklore and mythology inspired dark fantasy. Emphasis on dark. I don't shy away from serious issues and emotions: suicide, depression, mental illness, abuse, death, infertility, and assault are all in my books. These are not for pleasure or shock value, but because I want to write about authentic pain and suffering, and how we heal ourselves through the bad th -
DeAnna Drake
Are you looking for a break from the downer side of life? Me too! That’s why I write lighthearted cozy mysteries designed to lift your spirits while balancing the scales of justice, at least within the pages of my books. My stories always feature sharp-witted heroines who sometimes feel like they’re in over their heads (don’t we all?), a cast of quirky characters you’ll enjoy getting to know, and furry friends with surprising magical abilities. Magic always adds the perfect touch of excitement to a story. Don’t you agree?

Harper Burton
Small-town secrets, quirky characters, and slow-simmered plots and an Akita under the table, judging everything.

Harper Burton writes the kind of cozy mystery where the dog has opinions, the alibi never holds, and the pie is always homemade—sometimes with poison.
After twenty years in emergency management handling real-world emergencies (and enough paperwork to qualify as a natural disaster), she now sticks to fictional crises—ideally involving tea, a dog, and a suspiciously well-timed power outage.
She lives in the Carolinas with her husband, a rotating crew of grandkids, and an Akita who—unlike Hatchi—would absolutely leave her at the train station for a hot dog.
Murder at Buttermilk Cafe is her first cozy mystery and the debut of the Windmer
