Nieves Hidalgo es una escritora española dedicada a la literatura romántica, consiguiendo con Lo que dure la eternidad, su primera novela, hacerse con un hueco en el panorama del romance literario, algo que confirmó con su siguiente novela, Orgullo sajón.

Orgullo sajón se llevó el premio RNR a la «Mejor novela de Romance histórico» del 2009. También en 2009 obtuvo el premio RNR a la «Mejor autora de romance» .
