Nicky Downes
I’m a lover of extremes. I own a narrowboat and you’ll often find me cruising the Oxford and Coventry canals. I, also, own a Harley Davidson. I learnt to ride at 50. Best thing I’ve ever done.
I’ve loved reading crime fiction since I was a child. I devoured Nancy Drew, then Agatha Christie, then Dorothy L. Sayers.
My current favourite authors are: Val McDermid, Mark Billingham, Fiona Cummins, Angela Clarke and Angela Marsons.
My debut novel, Bat Girl, is now available on Amazon Kindle and paperback.
I’m currently writing a police procedural series featuring DI Amelia Barton of the National Crime Agency.

I took up writing about twenty years ago when I first came up with a plot for a book, and I haven't stopped since. When I’m not writing, I’m ferrying around 3 teenagers or working as a nurse. I’m also an all-year-round sea swimmer.
I write what I love to read, which is romance and thrillers.
My next release, out April 11th, is The Book of Lost Children, a World War 2 historical novel set in Guernsey, where I live. I am currently working on a second WW2 novel.

ARC Team Form
Eris Goode is the author of Project Juniper, a YA/NA cyberpunk series that marks her first foray into the world of self-publishing. A twenty-three-year-old from Canada, she graduated in 2022 with a double degree in Geomatics and English Lit and Rhetoric, complete with a minor in computer science and a specialization in creative writing.
Other than obsessing over writing, Eris also enjoys obsessing over art. Recently, she’s wielded her sketchbook and pencil once more to draw some poor anatomy, cute frogs, and poisonous-looking mushrooms. When she’s not doing that, she’s re-watching shows and movies she’s seen a million times because she just can’t stick with something new. Her favorites include Bee and Puppy -

Teri Terry
Teri has lived in France, Canada, Australia and England at more addresses than she can count, acquiring three degrees, a selection of passports and a silly name along the way. Past careers have included scientist, lawyer, optometrist, and, in England, various jobs in schools, libraries and an audiobook charity. The footpaths and canal ways of the Buckinghamshire Chilterns where she now lives inspired much of the setting of Slated. She hates broccoli, likes cats, and has finally worked out what she wants to do when she grows up.

Sue Fortin
Writing historical fiction as Suzanne Fortin and mystery/suspense as Sue Fortin.

Suzanne writes historical fiction, predominantly dual timeline and set in France. Her books feature courageous women in extraordinary circumstances with love and family at the heart of all the stories.
Suzanne was a bookworm as a child and this naturally progressed to wanting to write her own stories. It wasn’t until she was on maternity leave with her fourth child, that she thought it was now or never and finally managed to write a complete novel. Having joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association under their New Writers’ Scheme, writing then as Sue Fortin, she sent her manuscript off for a critique.
After another year of working on the novel, Suzanne self-publis -
Eoin Dempsey
Eoin Dempsey was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1977. He grew up in the beautiful Dublin suburb of Dalkey, where he and his friends would jump into the icy waters of the Irish Sea (during summertime) to prove their manliness. Eoin had a fantastic time attending Blackrock College, where he played rugby (poorly) and did his best to coast his way through. Eoin’s first ambition was to play rugby for Ireland. Due to a lack of talent, he soon abandoned that goal for the more reasoned path of the rock star. He played in bands through his teens and well into his twenties before harsh reality came calling, and his dreams of being the next Keith Moon faded.
