He currently works as a technical writer in the software industry and resides in Bellevue, near Seattle, Washington.   Tijan Sila was born in Sarajevo (1981) in the former Yugoslavia , where he spent his childhood. During the siege of the city in the Bosnian War, he fled with his family and came to Germany in 1994.
