He received a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Chicago. He taught linguistics in India, and worked as a software engineer in Montreal. He is also a certified translator, though he wishes he were an astronaut. He likes to tinker, dabbles in robotics and is somewhat obsessed with Halloween. He absolutely loves toys; his girlfriend would have him believe that he has too many, so he writes about aliens and giant robots as a blatant excuse to build action figures (for his son, of course).

  Lenore Zion

  Lenore Zion's first book, "My Dead Pets are Interesting," was published by TNB Books in 2011, and she was an original contributor to The Nervous Breakdown. Zion's second book, a novel called "Stupid Children," was published by Emergency Press in February 2013. Zion has a doctorate in clinical psychology, a degree which spawned her interest in psychological abnormalities. Her specialty is the treatment of sexual pathology, and her dissertation focused on the paraphilias - sexual impulse disorders that include exhibitionism, pedophilia, fetishism, sadism, masochism, and frotteurism, among others.   Paula D. Ashe is a thirty-something writer of dark fiction who only feels comfortable writing about herself in third person. Originally from Ohio, she resides in Indiana with her wife and too many animals. Paula works as a lecturer and Program Assistant for the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is also a PhD student in American Studies at Purdue University.   Michael Iver Peterson was born near Nashville, Tennessee, on October 23, 1943. He graduated from Duke University with a bachelor's degree in political science. While there, Peterson was president of Sigma Nu fraternity and was editor of The Chronicle, the daily student newspaper, from 1964 to 1965. He attended classes at the law school of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

  Stephen Michell

  Stephen Michell is an author of novels, short stories, and children’s books.
  
  He has an MA in English Literature from the University of Guelph, where his thesis focused on short stories in Southwestern Ontario.
