Morgan Yasbincek

Morgan Yasbincek’s first collection, Night Reversing (1996), won the Anne Elder and Mary Gilmore awards. Firelick (2004) was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier’s CJ Dennis Prize, and White Camel (2009) for the NSW Premier’s Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry. She has taught creative writing at Murdoch University, Edith Cowan University and the University of East Anglia.

After reading English at New College, Oxford, he became a teacher and was Head of the English Department at Hereford College of Education until he became a full-time writer. His first novel The Flute-Player won the Gollancz Pan/Picador Fantasy Competition. He is also known for his collections of verse and his translation from the Russian poet Anna Akhmatova.

Sir Kazuo Ishiguro (カズオ・イシグロ or 石黒一雄), OBE, FRSA, FRSL is a British novelist of Japanese origin and Nobel Laureate in Literature (2017). His family moved to England in 1960.
