PhD, Associate Professor of Political Science at the Institute of the Middle and Far East, Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He specializes in Social and Political Science. His research interests include: contemporary Burma/Myanmar and Russia-China relations.
MA in Russian Studies (2008) and in Far Eastern Studies (2012); he also studied at universities in Saint Petersburg, Moscow and Minsk (under JU exchanges programmes) and was on scholarship at Beijing International Studies University (2009/2010). PhD (2014) and habilitation (2020) in political science. Since 2011 he has been working at the Institute of Middle and Far East (previously at Institute of Russia and Eastern Europe).
