Max Kidruk (Ukranian: Макс Кідрук; born April 1, 1984 in Volodymyrets, Rivne region, Ukraine) - popular Ukrainian writer and science popularizer, holds a master’s degree in Energy Engineering. Studied at the National University of Water Management and Nature Resources Use (Rivne, Ukraine), and then was getting a postgraduate education at Kyiv Polytechnic University and Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology. He left both graduate schools in 2009, having decided to become a professional writer.

Her first novel Znes Palionogo was published in 2000. After a long trip to the Southern Asia, she published another novel Freud would weep which was nominated for a prestigious prize. Since 2005 Irena has been working as a host at several major Ukrainian TV-channels and acting as a model for Playboy and Penthouse.

Vasyl Shkliar (born 10 June 1951, Hanzhalivka, Lysianka Raion, Cherkasy Oblast) is a Ukrainian writer and political activist. He is one of the most well known and widely read, contemporary Ukrainian authors. Some literary observers have even named him the “Father of the Ukrainian Bestseller”. The Committee of the Shevchenko National Prize declared him a Shevchenko Prize Laureate in 2011. Among his most well-known works are novels “Raven” (alternate English title "Raven's Way", 2009 , English translation - 2013, 2015), Marusia (2014), and "Black sun" (2015).
