Maurizio Ferrero è nato nel 1987 a Vercelli.
È stato due volte vincitore del Trofeo RiLL - Riflessi di Luce Lunare: nel 2016, con il racconto Tutto Inizia da O e nel 2018, con Ana nel Campo dei Morti.
È autore del romanzo grimdark fantasy Ballata di Fango e Ossa e di due racconti per le antologie Hortus Mirabilis, storie di piante immaginarie e HUMAN/, corpi ibridi, mutanti e fluidi nell'universo del possibile, tutte pubblicate da Moscabianca Edizioni.
Ha pubblicato altri racconti con Lethal Books - Ignoranza Eroica e nel 2021 è uscita per Delos Digital la sua antologia pulp-fantasy Gemme e Boccali.
Nel 2022 è uscita la sua antologia di racconti I Volti degli Spiriti per la collana Memorie dal Futuro di RiLL.
