Mary Ann Hake
Mary Ann Hake’s picture books, The Smell of Spring and The Smell of Summer, both received the prestigious Mom's Choice Award and were featured on Arkansas' PBS summer literacy program, Rise and Shine. She has been scribbling stories and poems since she first learned to write. Hundreds of her stories, articles, poems, puzzles, devotions, curricula, and more (for both children and adults) can be found in periodicals and books plus hundreds of book reviews online. She has also written a Middle Grade historical novel, A Piece of Stone. She previously worked in a bookstore and as a librarian and enjoyed reading to children at story times and conducting the summer reading program. She has also taught writing to children and at writers' conference
