I was born in Wichita, KS and went to the University of Kansas for undergrad. I studied political science and African-American studies -- that was my favorite. I went to UVA Law and then became a public defender in Brooklyn in 2008.
As soon as I moved to New York I started doing stand up comedy. My "career" was derailed by my first psychotic break and a trip to the psych ward. My book takes it from there.
Laurence consacre son adolescence à jalouser les filles de l'équipe de volleyball et à vivre de grandes histoires d'amour... dans sa tête. Elle peut se vanter de n'avoir jamais été invitée à danser un seul slow de toute sa vie. Maintenant adulte et fière de l'être, elle est fascinée par les « influenceurs » dont elle aime se moquer tendrement. Elle travaille à l'écriture d'un deuxième roman et collabore aux contenus de Rad à Radio-Canada à titre de rédactrice-conceptrice. Laurence aimerait bien aider les filles qui, comme elle, ne se sentent jamais à la hauteur.
Anne-Margot Ramstein studied art in Paris before joining the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg. She created illustrations for ABC des Tracas with Matthias Arégui as well as the children’s book Les Illuminations D’Albert Einstein. She lives in France.
