Margarita Stāraste

Margarita Stāraste-Bordevīka (dzimusi Margarita Barvika 1914. gada 2. februārī Vladimirā, Krievijā) ir Latvijas rakstniece un ilustratore. Viņas darbs pārsvarā ir saistīts ar bērnu daiļliteratūru.

Mācījusies Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijā.

Viņas populārākās grāmatas ir "Balti tīri sniega vīri" (1942), "Ziemassvētku pasakas" (1943), "Zīļuks" (1961), "Pasaku ābece" (1969) un "Lācīša Rūcīša raibā diena" (1977). Pirmā M. Stārastes grāmata tikusi izdota 1942. gadā.

Viņa ir līdzautore 1994. gadā iznākušajam lībiešu tautasdziesmu krājumam "Urū! Rurū!", kas tika izdots latviešu un lībiešu valodā.

Viņa 1999. gadā saņēma Triju Zvaigžņu ordeni. 1982. gada saņēma Pastariņa prēmiju.
