Vardges Petrosyan, a prominent novelist, playwright and essayist was born in 1932 in the village of Ashtarak in the Ararat Valley, where he spent his childhood years, finished school and began writing his first verses.

Maurice Druon was born in Paris. He is the nephew of the writer Joseph Kessel, with whom he wrote the Chant des Partisans, which, with music composed by Anna Marly, was used as an anthem by the French Resistance during the Second World War.

Dan Stanca a debutat editorial cu romanul Vintul sau tipatul altuia. A lucrat multi ani la cotidianul Romania libera, unde a publicat sute de articole. De asemenea, prezenta sa in presa culturala, de la Romania literara la Luceafarul si de la Apostrof la Convorbiri literare, acopera un interval de peste doua decenii. Vocatia sa este insa aceea de romancier. A publicat pina in prezent 17 romane, dintre care amintim: Morminte stravezii, Muntele viu, Ritualul noptii, Mila frunzelor, Mut, Cei calzi si cei reci, Noaptea lui Iuda, A doua zi dupa moarte, Ultima biserica, Apocalips aminat. Emmanuelle Laborit

Emmanuelle Laborit est née le 18 octobre 1971 à Paris. Née sourde.

Elle a reçu le Molière de la révélation théâtrale, en 1993, pour son rôle dans Les Enfants du silence, adapté de la pièce américaine du même nom écrite par Mark Medoff : elle est la première comédienne sourde à avoir reçu, en France, une telle récompense. Elle devient aussi l'ambassadrice de la langue des signes en France (LSF).

Son livre autobiographique Le Cri de la mouette, publié en 1994, obtient le Prix Vérité de la ville du Cannet dans la même année.

Elle a été membre du comité de parrainage de la Coordination française pour la Décennie de la culture de paix et de non-violence.
