Mar Pavón
Mar Pavón (Manresa, 16 de septiembre de 1968) es una escritora que cultiva sobre todo la literatura infantil. Tiene publicados numerosos títulos infantiles, muchos de ellos traducidos al inglés, francés, portugués, italiano, alemán, holandés, chino y coreano, entre otros.
Ha sido distinguida con prestigiosos reconocimientos en los EE.UU., algunos de los cuales otorgados por los International Latino Book Awards. Su obra más significativa es Yeray poeta, publicada a raíz del nacimiento de su hijo en 1996. Su personaje más popular es "La gallina Cocorina", creado en colaboración con la ilustradora Mónica Carretero y que ha resultado ganador en varios premios y reconocimientos.

I grew up in a tall Victorian London house with my parents, grandmother, aunt, uncle, younger sister Mary and cat Geoffrey (who was really a prince in disguise. Mary and I would argue about which of us would marry him).
Mary and I were always creating imaginary characters and mimicking real ones, and I used to write shows and choreograph ballets for us. A wind-up gramophone wafted out Chopin waltzes.
I studied Drama and French at Bristol University, where I met Malcolm, a guitar-playing medic to whom I’m now married.
