M.J. Moore
M. J. Moore has a long record of activism. She worked for five years as the director of a large consortium dedicated to lobbying the Washington State Legislature on issues of concern to women and another eight years as the chief consumer advocate for the Office of the Washington State Insurance Commissioner.
She is a certified Master Gardener, who has contributed to the development of training materials for young adults about native plants in our Pacific Northwest forests. As seen in her books, forests are her passion and she hopes her writing contributes to their preservation.
M.J. Moore lives in Olympia, WA with her husband, who is both a biologist and the illustrator and cover artist for her books.

Loraine Hayes
Loraine Hayes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 25 years’ experience as a psychotherapist.
