Mário de Carvalho
Mário de Carvalho nasceu em 1944, em Lisboa. Licenciou-se em Direito pela Universidade de Lisboa em 1969. Desde jovem que se envolveu na luta antifascista, tendo estado preso ainda na década de 1960 e durante o serviço militar. A sua luta política leva-o ao exílio, primeiro para a França, depois para a Suécia, em 1973. Após o 25 de Abril regressa a Portugal. A sua estreia literária dá-se em 1981, tendo desde aí publicado regularmente numa grande diversidade de géneros: romance, drama, contos, guiões.
A sua escrita é extremamente versátil e torna-se impossível incluí-lo numa escola literária. A crítica considera-o um dos mais importantes ficcionistas da actualidade e a sua obra encontra-se traduzida em vários países (Inglaterra, França, Gréci
