As a seasoned and current school counselor, Laura Filtness, M.Ed., has spent over 15 years exploring the magical world of books and how they can benefit young minds.
Her passion is creating picture books to foster empathy for children, inspired by her therapy/support dog, Boss. She believes everyone, regardless of age, should read picture books.
Born in Coventry, England, she currently resides in Knoxville, TN, with her two dogs, Brooklyn and Bindu. After school, she is busy teaching yoga and pilates, endlessly remodeling her home, and watching everything and anything on TV.
