Rachel Celeste (also writing under Rachel Del Grosso) was born in Ontario, Canada. She began writing at a young age, but has since learned to write in complete sentences. She writes fiction about imperfect marriages, messy friendships, and complicated families. She lives in Las Vegas with her husband and son.
April began writing stories to share with her friends at age 10, and then kept secret notebooks and diaries of quotes, poetry, essays, and observations. In high school she joined the newspaper staff and eventually became editor of the school paper. As a journalism major in college she soon realized she wasn't aggressive enough to be a reporter, so after a short stint as a pre-med student, she earned her degree in teaching English and science. During her 30-year teaching career, and while raising a family, her writing stayed in the background except for a few professional newsletter articles and a monthly faculty newsletter. In her teens she toured the world with bands and produced her own music magazine. By the time she left school, her tutor's report in her National Record of Achievement read: "A writer beyond all possible doubt, Chloe is at her best behind a pen" and "her innate linguistic fluency is outstanding".
Following an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Chloe completed a master's degree in Magazine Journalism, achieving a first with distinction.
