When she’s not reading and writing, Andrea works as a bookstore where she lovingly tends to the Romance section. She enjoys talking crazy to her weirdo cat, consuming copious amount of wine and coffee with her girlfriends, and record shopping with her husband. Oh yeah, and there’s that small Jane Austen obsession. That doesn’t take up any time at all.

I love all things Regency and sometimes a wee Highlander story. I also have a weakness for Alpha males and feisty heroines, who keep them on their toes. -

Catherine Bilson
I've been writing since I was 5 years old. I've always had to set it aside and try to concentrate on so-called 'real life' though. I've had a number of interesting careers - engineer, real estate sales agent, owner of an electrical goods store, silversmith - but finally the time has come for me to return to my first love. Writing.

Lucy Marin
Lucy Marin developed a love for reading at a young age and whiled away many hours imagining how stories might continue or what would happen if there was a change in the circumstances faced by the protagonists. After reading her first Austen novel, a life-long ardent admiration was borne. Lucy was introduced to the world of Austen variations after stumbling across one at a used bookstore while on holiday in London. This led to the discovery of the online world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction and, soon after, she picked up her pen and began to transfer the stories in her head to paper.

Melissa Halcomb
Melissa first discovered Pride & Prejudice at the age of eleven when her aunt was recording the BBC miniseries from TV to VHS and that, as they say, was that. This led her to the novel which, in turn, led to the discovery of Jane Austen's other excellent works, Persuasion being her favorite. She stumbled upon the genre of JAFF in 2019 and was hooked. After reading so many variations and imagining storylines of her own, she began writing them down and, for the first time, discovered her passion in life.

Carrie Kablean
I was born and raised in London, and came to Sydney in 1990. I love both cities - shame they are so far apart.

I have always loved reading and when I was a kid and the mobile library made its weekly stop nearby I read anything in the historical fiction genre I could get my hands on. Especially loved Tudor England. Then Jane Austen came into my life, and never left. And I started working my way through other great English classic novels (an ongoing pastime). But my tastes range farther afield too, Junot Diaz, Stella Gibbons, Tom Wolfe, Graham Greene, Karen Joy Fowler, Alice Sebold.... have to stop, it will go on forever.
Theatre is also a passion. I reviewed for The Sunday Telegraph for more than a decade, and still post the occasional review. -

Inspired by the works of Jane Austen, she drew on her vivid imagination and love of comedic banter to create her first novel, 'My BFF'. Ms. Oakland resides in Eastern Massachusetts with her loving and supportive family.

Fredrica Edward
Fredrica grew up in country Australia speaking cant terms straight from the Regency period, which are now disappearing from use due to the invention of television. Her husband teases her on how easily she can still drop into the lingo if she meets an old timer, but as he once used the word "gammon" in polite conversation - a term only used by highwaymen in Georgette Heyer novels; she pays him no heed. Fredrica spent her summer holidays with her great aunt, a modern miss who learnt to drive a car, and conveyed her husband to the pub once a week when he became too old to get on a horse. Fred first read Pride and Prejudice at fifteen and thought it very entertaining. She next read it at thirty and thought it a work of genius.
