Steinunn Jóhannesdóttir
Steinunn graduated from the National Theatre of Iceland's Acting College in 1970, and went on to study French in Toulouse, drama and psychology in Stockholm, and then psychology at the University of Iceland.

She graduated from the Iceland University of Education with a Teaching Diploma in 1973, received a BA-degree in Icelandic Studies and Library and Information Science from the University of Iceland in 1978, and a degree in Education from the Iceland University of Education in 1982. She was a candidate of Icelandic literature at the University of Iceland 1984-85. Grímsdóttir worked as an elementary- and college teacher in Reykjavík and Hafnarfjörður until 1990 but has since then focused almost exclusively on writing.

Fridrik Erlings was born in Reykjavik in 1962. From 1980 - '90 he worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. He was a guitar player and songwriter in two Icelandic rock bands; Purrkur Pillnik from '81-'83 and in '86 he founded the alternative rock band The Sugarcubes with Einar Orn and Bjork before leaving music to pursue writing.
Fridrik is the author of several novels, both Fiction and Young Adult novels. He's written numerous lyrics for contemporary pop and rock artists; he has written screenplays for film and television, the most recent the screenplay for 'Thor - Legends of Valhalla', the first feature length 3D-animation film made in Iceland. He has also lectured screenwriting at The Icelandic Film School.

Ólafur Gunnarsson was born in Reykjavík on July 18, 1948. He completed a commercial diploma from The Commercial College of Iceland in 1968. Ólafur worked for the merchant Ásbjörn Ólafsson hf. from 1965-1971 and was a driver with the Reykjavík medical emergency services from 1972-1978. Ólafur has worked as a writer since 1974.
