Simply another bald guy spinning a yarn.
I’ve been writing novel length fiction since the late ‘90’s and shorter stuff prior to that. It’s a secret, so don’t tell anyone. But, the whole writing thing started when Mr. Talbot, my fifth grade english teacher, introduced me to poetry. I wrote a bunch of really bad rhyming stuff, but that guy kept being positive and it stuck. And now look at me.
I’m a frequent traveler who prefers mixing with the locals and stumbling through the language barrier. You might bump into me and my family taking a collectivo while trying to find that one elusive cenote, or hiking through Cinque Terre while trying to speak Italian loud and slow. You know, the smile-and-nod-a-lot method with a spattering of -

I earned a doctorate in medieval European history at the University of California Santa Barbara. Go Gauchos! I taught world history at a couple of colleges before settling into a private college prep high school in Monterey. After I retired, I began to write an urban fantasy series featuring hardboiled private eye Alexander Southerland as he cruises through the mean streets of Yerba City and interacts with trolls, femme fatales, shape-shifters, witches, and corrupt city officials.

Although my books are in many genres, my favourites are historical fiction and fantasy. Usually, the periods I choose are Napoleon’s Consulate and Empire or the English Regency era. C.A. Gray
C.A. Gray is the author of three YA Amazon bestselling trilogies: PIERCING THE VEIL (magic and quantum physics meet Arthurian legends), THE LIBERTY BOX (dystopian metaphysics and mind control technology), and UNCANNY VALLEY (dystopian coming-of-age with neuroscience and super intelligent A.I). She starts with some scientific concept that she’s interested in learning more about herself, and then creates lots of epic chaos and high-stakes action to go along with it. Her stories are free of gratuitous violence, language, and sexual content, and she abhors depressing endings… but they’re not all kittens and rainbows either! She also listens to and reviews audiobooks on her website, here on Goodreads, on Instagram, and on her podcast, Clean Audi

I started writing in 2017 and have this series planned out (kind of). I think my imagination gets a little carried away, as I've been told to remove a few things.
I have this one reviewer, out of a dozen, that is very eager to explain his ideas. I told him I'll need to credit him in a future book with some basic character developments. His ideas are pretty good. His name is Enrico and he's an NYPD first grade detective. Just to give you perspective, NYPD has around 40,000 officers and employees and there are only 200 first grade detectives.
So, stay tuned. It's going to get very hot in here!
