Peter Pohl was born in 1940 in Germany. His father died in World War II. After the war, Pohl and his Swedish mother moved to Sweden, where he's lived ever since. In 1975, Pohl graduated and became a professor in Numerical analysis. Five years later he started filming, and with success: he won various prizes for his work. His writing career started in 1983. Pohl's themes are sad: themes like death, bullying, loneliness are often part of his books, and almost none of his books have a happy ending. Some of his books have autobiographical elements (the Rainbow series) and some others are based on true stories that came to him directly or indirectly. Hans Rath, Jahrgang 1965, studierte Philosophie, Germanistik und Psychologie in Bonn. Er lebt mit seiner Familie in Berlin, wo er unter anderem als Drehbuchautor tätig ist. Mit der Romantrilogie «Man tut, was man kann», «Da muss man durch» und «Was will man mehr» hat Rath sich eine große Fangemeinde geschaffen. Zwei der Bücher wurden bereits fürs Kino verfilmt. «Und Gott sprach: Wir müssen reden» sowie «Manchmal ist der Teufel auch nur ein Mensch» wurden ebenfalls zu Bestsellern.
Karel Faustin Klostermann [klostrman], též pseudonymy Faustin, Doubravský, (13. února 1848 Haag am Hausruck – 16. července 1923 Štěkeň), byl český spisovatel s regionálním zaměřením na oblast Šumavy. Představitel realismu a tzv. venkovské prózy, jehož sebrané spisy obsáhly přes čtyřicet svazků románů, povídek, črt, fejetonů a skic, i část soustavných pamětí.
