Kevin Clarke grew up in Birkenhead, Liverpool. He tried his hand at being a guitarist, an actor and went to Leeds University to train to be a drama teacher. He decided to become a writer while teaching in a London comprehensive school in the second half of the 1970s. Eventually his stage efforts piqued the interest of the BBC and he became one of seven writers selected for the first BBC writers scheme in the 1980s.
He went on to write for BBC hospital drama Casualty. A meeting with Doctor Who script editor Andrew Cartmel led to his being commissioned for the 25th anniversary serial. Shortly after he adapted the serial for Target books. He went on to write for

Nicholas Ponticello is an educator and writer in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from University of California, Berkeley with degrees in mathematics and astrophysics and later earned his masters in education from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Ponticello is interested in exploring the intersection of science, sustainability, mental health, and education, and hopes to encourage more systems thinking and sustainability-themed curricula at the secondary school level.

Jared Thomas was born in Port Augusta in 1976. Both his parents have Aboriginal heritage, and he identifies as Nukunu due to being raised on Nukunu land and with Nukunu culture. He has published many books and his writing explores the power of belonging and culture. In 2015 his novel Calypso Summer joined the 2015 International Youth Library White Raven list of books that deserve worldwide attention because of their universal themes and exceptional artistic and literary style. Sue Weaver has written hundreds of articles and ten books about livestock and poultry. Sue lives on a small farm in Arkansas, which she shares with her husband, a flock of Classic Cheviot sheep and a mixed herd of goats, horses large and small, a donkey, two llamas, a riding steer, a water buffalo, a pet razorback pig, guinea fowl, and Buckeye chickens.
