Judith Jackson-Pomeroy

Judith Jackson-Pomeroy

A professor of gender studies and sociology for over 20 years, Judith Jackson-Pomeroy retired her academic regalia to write women's fiction. When she's not writing, she earns her keep working as the Acquisitions Editor for an Academic Press and Research Collaborator/Senior Editor at Wellesley Centers for Women, Wellesley College. Her fiction is described as a take on modern womanhood, with themes of sexual politics, mental health, and addiction that pushes back with humor on the redemptive narrative trope. Her writing features tartly funny, unapologetic, complicated female characters who will make you laugh, facepalm, and cry. Weight of a Woman is her debut.
