Jonas Lüscher

Jonas Lüscher, geboren 1976 in der Schweiz, lebt in München. Nach einer Ausbildung als Primarschullehrer in Bern und einigen Jahren in der deutschen Filmindustrie studierte er an der Hochschule für Philosophie in München. Derzeit arbeitet er als Doktorand am Lehrstuhl für Philosophie der ETH Zürich. 2013 erhielt er den Berner Literaturpreis und den Bayerischen Kunstförderpreis. Sein Debüt Frühling der Barbaren stand auf der Longlist für den Deutschen Buchpreis.

Urs Widmer

Urs Widmer was born in Basel in 1938. He studied German, Romance languages and History in Basel, Montpellier and Paris. In 1966 he completed his doctoral thesis on German postwar prose, and then worked as an editor for Walter Publishing House in Olten, Switzerland, and for Suhrkamp Publishing House in Frankfurt. In Frankfurt he stayed for 17 years, though with Suhrkamp only until 1968. Together with other editors he founded the ›Verlag der Autoren‹. Until his death Urs Widmer lived and worked as a writer in Zurich.

David Szalay (born 1974 in Montreal, Quebec) is an English writer.

He was born in Canada, moved to the UK the following year and has lived there ever since. He studied at Oxford University and has written a number of radio dramas for the BBC.

He won the Betty Trask Award for his first novel, London and the South-East, along with the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize. Since then he has written two other novels: Innocent (2009) and Spring (2011).

He has also recently been named one of The Telegraph's Top 20 British Writers Under 40 and has also made it onto Granta magazine's 2013 list of the Best of Young British Novelists.

Benjamin Wood was born in 1981 and grew up in Merseyside. He is the author of five novels, the latest of which, SEASCRAPER, was longlisted for the Booker Prize 2025. Dorothee Elmiger

Dorothee Elmiger is a Swiss writer. She presently lives in Switzerland. Elmiger is considered one of the most promising young Swiss writers, especially after winning the second Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, the Kelag Prize, in 2010.

After finishing school her primary schooling, Dorothee Elmiger went to New Hampshire before beginning her studies of philosophy and political sciences at the University of Zurich. She received her professional training at the Swiss Institute for Literature in Biel/Bienne and at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig, where she spent an exchange semester.

In 2008, she competed in Prosanova, a festival for new literature in Hildesheim. In 2009, she was a stipendiary at the literature course in Klagenfurt.

Kristine Bilkau

Kristine Bilkau, born in 1974, studied History and Literature at Hamburg University and Tulane University, New Orleans. Maria Iordanidou
Γεννήθηκε στην Κωνσταντινούπολη το 1897 και έζησε τα παιδικά της χρόνια στον Πειραιά και το Βατούμ της Ρωσίας. Φοίτησε σε ρωσικό γυμνάσιο, στη Σταυρούπολη, όπου τη βρήκε η Οκτωβριανή Επανάσταση. Caroline Wahl

Caroline Wahl (born 1995 in Mainz) is a German author. Her debut novel, 22 Bahnen, was published in April 2023 by DuMont Buchverlag. After her school days, she studied German studies and German literature in Tübingen and Berlin.
