John Bond is an illustrator, author and artist. Growing up on a farm in the Cotswolds, he went on to study a degree in Illustration at Kingston University, London. He now lives and works in Worthing on the south coast.

His debut picture book, ‘Mini Rabbit Not Lost’ – published by HarperCollins – was nominated for best picture book in the 2019 Waterstones Book Prize. The follow up title ‘Mini Rabbit Must Help’ published in June 2020 with the final book in the series, ‘Mini Rabbit Come Home’ being published in March 2021.

John has recently joined forces with award winning author, Peter Bently, to work on a series of exciting new picture books. Their first title 'Dogs in Disguise' (published Sep 2021)

Ludwig Bemelmans

Ludwig Bemelmans, Austrian-American illustrator, wrote books, such as Madeline in 1939, for children, and his experiences in the restaurant business based Hotel Splendide , adult fiction in 1940.

People internationally knew Ludwig Bemelmans, an author and a gourmand. People today most note his six publications to 1961. After his death, people discovered and posthumously published a seventh in 1999.

Julia Donaldson

Growing up
I grew up in a tall Victorian London house with my parents, grandmother, aunt, uncle, younger sister Mary and cat Geoffrey (who was really a prince in disguise. Mary and I would argue about which of us would marry him).

Mary and I were always creating imaginary characters and mimicking real ones, and I used to write shows and choreograph ballets for us. A wind-up gramophone wafted out Chopin waltzes.

I studied Drama and French at Bristol University, where I met Malcolm, a guitar-playing medic to whom I’m now married.

Busking and books
Before Malcolm and I had our three sons we used to go busking together and I would write special songs for each country; the best one was in Italian about pasta.

Oliver Jeffers

Oliver Jeffers' work takes many forms. His distinctive paintings have been exhibited in galleries worldwide, and HarperCollins UK and Penguin USA publish his award-winning picture books, now translated into over 30 languages.

Benji Davies

Benji Davies is the illustrator of the Bizzy Bear books, Bizzy Bear: Let’s Go and Play and Bizzy Bear: Fun on the Farm. As a child, Benji knew that when he grew up he either wanted to make films or draw pictures in books. He is still working out which he likes best, and currently divides his time between illustrating children’s books and directing animation.

Drew Daywalt

Andrea L. Rogers is a writer from Tulsa, Oklahoma and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
