Joe Carrick Varty

Joe Carrick-Varty is a British-Irish poet, writer and founding editor of bath magg. His work has appeared in New Statesman, Granta, POETRY, The Poetry Review, The Forward Book of Poetry, Poetry Ireland Review and Poetry London. He is the author of More Sky (Carcanet Press, 2023), 54 Questions for the Man Who Sold a Shotgun to My Father (Out-Spoken Press, 2020) and Somewhere Far (The Poetry Business, 2019). In 2018 he won the New Poets Prize and in 2022 he won an Eric Gregory Award. Joe is currently the 2023 Anthony Burgess Fellow in Creative Writing at the University of Manchester.

Momtaza Mehri

Momtaza Mehri is a poet and researcher working across criticism, education, and radio.

She is a former Young People’s Poet Laureate for London, and columnist for Tate Etc, the arts magazine published by the Tate network of galleries. Her work has appeared in The Guardian, Granta, POETRY, BOMB Magazine, Wasafiri, frieze, Art Review, and elsewhere.

In 2023, Mehri won an Eric Gregory Award and the Forward Prize for Best First Collection with Bad Diaspora Poems. It was also shortlisted for the 2023 Charlotte Aitken Young Writer of the Year Award. She is also a recipient of a Somerset Maugham Award. In 2024, she won a Sky Arts Award.

Rebecca Perry was born in 1986 in London. Her first book-length collection, ‘Beauty/Beauty’ (Bloodaxe Books, 2015), a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, won the Michael Murphy Memorial Prize 2017, and was also shortlisted for the T.S. Caroline Bird

Caroline Bird was born in 1986 and grew up in Leeds before moving to London in 2001.

Caroline had been shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize twice in 2008 and 2010 and was the youngest writer on the list both times. She was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize 2014. Don Paterson

Don Paterson (b. 1963) is a Scottish poet and writer. He is the author of sixteen books of poetry, aphorism, criticism, memoir and poetic theory. His poetry has won many awards, including the Whitbread Poetry Prize, the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize, the Costa Poetry Award, three Forward Prizes, the T.S. Eliot Prize on two occasions, and the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry.

Ben Lerner

Ben Lerner is an American poet, novelist, and critic. He was awarded the Hayden Carruth prize for his cycle of fifty-two sonnets, The Lichtenberg Figures. In 2004, Library Journal named it one of the year's twelve best books of poetry. Richard Siken

Richard Siken is an American poet, painter, and filmmaker. Sharon Olds

Born in San Francisco on November 19, 1942, Sharon Olds earned a B.A. at Stanford University and a Ph.D. at Columbia University.

Her first collection of poems, Satan Says (1980), received the inaugural San Francisco Poetry Center Award. Olds's following collection, The Dead & the Living (1983), received the Lamont Poetry Selection in 1983 and the National Book Critics Circle Award.

Peter Gizzi

Educated at New York University, Brown University, and the State University of New York at Buffalo, poet Peter Gizzi is the author of several collections of poetry, including Threshold Songs (2011), The Outernationale (2007), and Artificial Heart (1998).
