Joël Champetier
Joël Champetier was a French-Canadian science fiction and fantasy author. He began writing in 1981. His first fantasy novel, The Memory Lake, won the Grand Prix 1995 science fiction and Quebec fantastic and the Aurora Award for best novel, while his second, White Skin, was adapted for film. Besides his work as a writer and screenwriter, Joel Champetier was the editor of the magazine Solaris from 1999 until his death in May 2015.
