Since his Lego and action figure days, he’s crafted worlds and stories within those worlds. This pursuit continues into his middle grade fantasies.
He doesn’t stop with writing stories – he works with kids to pass on the joy of writing books and videogames. He wants others to join him and delve into creating fantastical worlds.
I'm very fortunate to live in a writer's paradise on one of the small northern Gulf Islands off the eastern shore of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The rugged beaches and towering fir and arbutus trees that surround me often end up in my stories. When I'm not pouring my imagination into my computer, I'm futzing in gardens, making a mess of the kitchen or hiking local trails. I write stories that entice you to believe the impossible and escape the everyday for a while. Enjoy the read!
Keith Saltojanes is the Founder of Improv-LA, the internationally known creative training center based in Los Angeles. He has taught improv techniques to everyday people in over 10 countries and for executives at some of the biggest companies around (including Disney, Netflix, Amazon, IBM). He also has a Guinness World Record for the Longest Improv Show and has written for National Lampoon and for comedians from SNL, MADtv, In Living Color, and Mr. Show.
Frank Linik, an Army Airborne Ranger, arrived in Vietnam soon after the Tet Offensive in 1968. He served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade in the Central Highlands as a rifle platoon leader and personnel officer. After Vietnam, Linik served in Germany in the 8th Infantry division as a company commander. His combat decorations include the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Linik’s work has appeared in Innsifree, Viet Now, and California Flyfisher. A chapter in this book appeared in the literary journal, Innisfree, as a short story.
